Epiphany...?

I just had a startling realization:

The importance of Art.

Kinda funny coming from me, I'm always painted as an ogre, especially by artists, who better to paint?

But it makes sense...

Everything that everyone needs, they need to be something.

More than merely existing. More than merely breathing.

They need to create something of worth.

More than just Carbon Dioxide emissions or the passing of waste.

Art is about creating and creating is about soul searching.

That's why it's hard to share poetry, hard to show a painting, hard to speak from the heart...

Our soul is there, and as tough as we are on the outside, if you are not gentle with the soul, it will remember it forever...

I need to create.

That's what I've been missing.

Not learning.

Not growing.

Not loving.

But creating!

Why is it that it takes my mind such a long time to grasp the obvious that sits in front of it screaming "I AM HERE!"?

No time for that now.

I need to create.
